GrammyWeekly Exclusive: Cenyc Finds His Rhythm Again

Cenyc

Life has a funny way of circling back to what truly matters. For New York native Cenyc, music has always been more than a hobby—it’s been home. Long before the spotlight or stage, he was banging on makeshift drums in his living room. Now, after years spent chasing athletic dreams in pro arena football, he’s come full circle—back to his roots in sound.

Cenyc’s journey has been anything but typical. While juggling a college baseball career—where he was one of just 2 out of 18 freshmen to make the team—Cenyc was also on the road, touring and recording music. Injuries, fatherhood, and personal growth have shaped the man behind the mic. But when his daughter was born in 2022, something shifted. It wasn’t just about creating anymore—it was about legacy.

Today, Cenyc is back in the booth with a new fire. His music blends lived experience with raw storytelling, proving that sometimes the most powerful returns are the ones that come from within.
