Music Factory Records proudly announces the release of Quartets, the debut solo album from acclaimed saxophonist and composer Peter Daniel, a key figure in Seattle’s jazz-funk movement. A Spiritual Anthem for Reconnection
“Come Back Together” is a gospel-inspired, groove-laced track that sets the tone for the entire Quartets project. Featuring a standout Pacific Northwest rhythm section—RL Heyer (guitar), Joe Doria (Hammond organ), and Xavier Lecouturier (drums)—alongside Daniel’s soaring saxophone, the song explores the emotional terrain of post-isolation reconnection.
“This song is about reconnecting—musically and emotionally,” says Daniel. “We’ve all been living in fragments. This piece calls us back to center—individually and together.”
The single follows the success of “Take A Little Chance” and “Miles Around,” and offers a glimpse into the heartfelt compositions that form the soul of Quartets.
About the Album – Quartets
Set for release on June 20, Quartets includes 10 original compositions, each recorded with a different rhythm section. The approach pays tribute to Seattle’s jazz-funk lineage while celebrating the enduring relationships Peter Daniel has built across the Pacific Northwest music scene.
From warm, meditative ballads to funk-laced bangers, Quartets draws inspiration from giants like Kamasi Washington, Roy Hargrove, and Maceo Parker, all while channeling Daniel’s own distinct voice—earthy, spiritual, and deeply melodic.
