Rajasthan Deputy Chief Minister Prem Chand Bairwa said that “we do not use such indecent language” in response to party colleague and MLA Balmukund Acharya’s comments about loudspeakers in mosques and other places on Tuesday.

The Hawa Mahal MLA, Balmukund, has made a number of remarks in recent days that are critical of mosque loudspeakers. The MLA, whose real name is Sanjay Sharma, stated a few days ago during a Holi Milan program of the BJP’s legal cell, “I have a complaint which will be resolved only through you (lawyers).” Many of us get headaches and migraines. Five times a day, the loudspeaker is played loudly. I pray that the lawyers will accept it. You are my lawyers, and you should settle this dispute.

He later claimed that he had received “50-60 complaints” about loudspeakers where the sound was being increased and that there are at least 150 locations in his Assembly constituency facing this problem.

Govind Singh Dotasra, the state president of the Congress, responded to his comments by saying, “It is unfortunate for us that such namoone (piece of work) is in our Vidhan Sabha. He was picked by the people because of their issues, not because he was Hindu-Muslim, propagated hatred, or engaged in nautanki. In his Assembly seat, he should strive for employment, growth, and the advancement of fraternity among the 36 quam (all communities). But all he is doing is sowing hatred. I pray to God that he remains safe and that his escort be extended if necessary. You never know when someone is mind would act out because of the things he is doing.
