Legacy Lives On: A Tribute to Mr. Willis

This event holds deep meaning for Isaiah Willis, who honors his late father — a driving force behind this movement: “To me, Doing It In The Park is a legacy. My dad worked relentlessly at bringing this back — to see the smiles on the kids’ faces put a smile on his. He meant the world to me and to many, and I will not let him down with this. On this day each year, we have free burgers, hotdogs, water, ice cream, face painting, and other activities, as well as individual business vendors who help make the day more exciting. Throughout each year, we have fundraisers to raise enough money to host this summer event and to giveaway bikes and/ or prizes as well as high school graduate scholarships to eligible seniors. It is truly a remarkably, rewarding experience that I look FORWARD to each and every year. Im grateful and honored to be able to keep it going”.
