Electronic music duo Bob Moses is gearing up to release their highly anticipated fourth studio album, Blink, arriving on October 17. Alongside the announcement, they’ve shared the record’s lead single — the atmospheric and uplifting Last Forever.
Set to drop via AWAL, Blink marks the follow-up to their 2022 project, The Silence in Between. The album came to life between Los Angeles, where Tom Howie is based, and New York City, home to Jimmy Vallance. Initially, ideas and demos were traded online via Dropbox and Discord before the two reunited in studios across Toronto and Vancouver to refine the tracks in person.
“The album’s like a question: How do you balance the longing for a meaningful life with the reality that it passes in a flash — that you can’t hold on forever?” Howie explains. “It wasn’t something we set out to do deliberately, but the way we created this record reflects that feeling. It’s a stage of life where everything we do feels like it’s happening in fleeting moments.”
Before Blink officially lands, Bob Moses will perform a string of shows, including appearances at XS in Las Vegas, Breakaway Festival in North Carolina, and Portola Festival in San Francisco this September.
Since debuting with 2015’s Days Gone By, which spent 11 weeks on the Top Dance/Electronic Albums chart, Bob Moses has carved a solid place in the music scene. Their sophomore effort, Battle Lines (2018), also made its mark on the charts, while Love Brand New from The Silence in Between enjoyed a 12-week run on Hot Rock & Alternative Songs, peaking at No. 29.
