Singer-songwriter and pop artist Sharmila has released four new singles, introducing a collection of emotionally driven songs that explore grief, morality, social issues, artistic freedom and humanity’s future.

The four releases “Golden Heart,” “Right And Wrong,” “Human Race” and “NoMusic On Mars” represent different sides of Sharmila’s artistic identity, combining personal storytelling with broader reflections on society and the human experience.

At the heart of the collection is “Golden Heart,” a deeply personal song written in memory of Sharmila’s daughter, Tanisha, who passed away in 2021. The song is a tribute to her daughter’s character and the lasting impact she left on her mother.

For Sharmila, the title “Golden Heart” reflects how she remembers Tanisha

someone whose kindness and character continue to inspire her music. Rather than focusing solely on loss, the song serves as an emotional remembrance and a celebration of a life that remains meaningful to her.

Another release, “Right And Wrong,” takes a more socially conscious direction. The song explores ideas surrounding right and wrong, good and bad, ethics and the responsibilities of people and organizations working in social fields.

The track also reflects Sharmila’s personal experiences and her perspective on what she describes as attacks directed toward herself and her daughter, as well as what she considers censorship of her voice as a woman artist in the Netherlands. Through the song, she questions where society draws the line between fairness, morality, freedom of expression and personal responsibility.

With “Human Race,” Sharmila expands her message beyond personal experience and turns her attention toward humanity as a whole. The song delivers a direct call to action through the recurring message, “Stand up for the human race,”encouraging listeners to consider their shared responsibility toward one another and the future of humanity.

The fourth release, “No Music On Mars,” takes a more imaginative and philosophical approach. Built around the memorable idea thatThere is no music on Mars. No water on Venus,”the song uses the imagery of other planets to reflect on the unique conditions that make life, creativity and music possible on Earth. Together, the four singles demonstrate Sharmila’s willingness to use pop music as a platform for both personal expression and wider social commentary. Her songwriting moves between intimate memories, questions of ethics, artistic freedom and observations about humanity, creating a collection that invites listeners to think as well as listen.

The four singles were released on August 28, 2026, and are available for listeners through Sharmila’s music platforms.
