The freshly discovered recording of her seemingly retracting her accusations against the superstar is not credible, according to JAY-Z’s sexual assault victim.
According to TMZ on Thursday, March 13, the unnamed woman filed a declaration stating that there were previously unknown circumstances surrounding the video, which is part of the superstar’s numerous lawsuits against her and her lawyer Tony Buzbee.
She claims that two private investigators unexpectedly visited her home. She claims that she was not “calm, natural, or at ease” throughout their talk and that she “trembled the entire time we spoke.”
She further claims: “I never said that Mr. Carter did not assault me, whether once or four times.”
Additionally, the woman disputes claiming that Buzbee pressured her into suing Hov.
According to the declaration, “I never made any such statements to [investigator Charlotte] Henderson or any other person.”
On Wednesday, March 12, ABC News aired a clip of a meeting between the Jane Doe and two private investigators, revealing the tape.
“He was just there, but he did not have anything to do with any sexual acts towards you?” is the question one investigator poses to JAY-Z in the clip.
The woman replied, “Yeah.”
She also said that “He” — meaning her attorney Tony Buzbee — “was the one that kind of pushed me towards going forward with him, with JAY-Z.”
Alex Spiro, Hov’s lawyer, reacted to the recording.
He told ABC News, “She states unequivocally that Mr. Carter did not do this.” “Mr. Carter is only involved in this because she was pressured to do so, and it is essentially a lie.”
Buzbee denied pressuring the lady to make the accusation against the rap legend.
In a statement sent to ABC News, he claimed, “As far as the suggestion that I pushed Jane Doe to bring a case against Jay Z – That is a blatant lie that is directly contrary to all the documentary evidence.”
The unnamed woman has persisted in stating that she is sticking to her account, which she acknowledged had flaws.
Additionally, she claims that the 55-year-old millionaire and his staff harassed her and tried to persuade her to sign an affidavit acknowledging that her allegations were untrue.
Accused of sexually abusing the then-teenager at an afterparty after the 2000 MTV Video Music Awards in New York City, Hov’s complaint was filed late last year by well-known attorney Tony Buzbee on behalf of an unnamed client.
Diddy was named as a defendant in the initial October case, while JAY-Z was referred to anonymously as “Celebrity A.”According to court documents seen by HipHopDX, the lawsuit was refiled on December 8 and identified JAY (born Shawn Carter) as a defendant.
