Every once in a while, you stumble across an album that feels like it was written for late-night drives or lazy Saturday mornings, and Invisible by Lena & Evan is one of those. The Huntsville-based duo has put together six songs that are polished yet heartfelt, and the result is a project that feels both easy to listen to and worth sitting down with start to finish.
The title track, Invisible, sets the tone with its mix of vulnerability and quiet strength. From there, the album moves into Across The Room and Putting It All On The Line, both of which carry that mix of piano-driven pop and big, memorable hooks that Lena & Evan seem to do so naturally.
One of my favorites is My Only One, which feels like the kind of song you could dedicate to someone you love without it ever sounding cheesy. The Crown, featuring Darden J, brings a little extra edge and energy, while the closer, With Different Lives, slows things down with reflective lyrics that leave you thinking long after the music fades.
What ties the record together is the duo’s chemistry. Lena’s voice has this soaring, emotional quality that makes even simple lines feel weighty, while Evan keeps everything grounded with smooth vocals and steady piano work. They balance each other in a way that feels unforced, which makes the whole album flow effortlessly.
Invisible is available pretty much everywhere you’d expect: Spotify, iTunes, YouTube, Amazon Music, iHeart Radio, Pandora, Deezer. It’s worth a listen, no matter how you stream your music.
