This week, Jack Harlow celebrated his birthday and became an official member of the exclusive Diamond Club.
The Louisville native celebrated his 27th birthday on Thursday, March 13, by receiving an incredible 11 new RIAA certifications, including a diamond award for his breakthrough single, “What is Poppin.”
Furthermore, “Lovin On Me” and “First Class” have achieved four platinum certifications, “Tyler Herro” has achieved three platinum certifications, “That is What They All Say” has achieved two platinum certifications, “Churchill Downs,” “Come Home The Kids Miss You,” “Dua Lipa,” and “SUVS” have all achieved platinum status, and “Luv Is Dro” and “Route 66” have earned gold certifications.
Jack posted a picture of his new diamond plaque to Instagram along with additional images from his party, adding diamond emojis to the caption.
Among the names named above are Ron Perlman, Paul Walter Hauser, Alfred Molina, and others.
The show came after Harlow made her acting debut in a White Men Can not Jump revival in 2023, costarring with the late Lance Reddick, Teyana Taylor, Laura Harrier, and Vince Staples.
“It is either going to be there was an announcement you were in a movie and nothing else, or you get that, and it is like, ‘Wow, and you brought it,'” Harlow remarked in an interview with Zane Lowe regarding acting in 2022. You brought it. Since it is my first, I care a lot about it and am beginning to view it similarly to how I view the music.
Since 2023, the rapper from Louisville has been in full swing. That April, he released his third album, Jackson, in addition to the movie. He went on to collaborate with K-Pop artist Jung Kook, play arenas in his native Kentucky, and release the number-one hit “Lovin On Me.”
BeyoncĂ© and Kanye West both missed their No. 1 single debuts earlier this year because of the song, which lasted weeks at the top of the Billboard Hot 100. Harlow barely defeated Bey’s unexpected country hit, “Texas Hold ‘Em,” while Kanye and Ty Dolla $ign’s “Carnival” made its No. 3 debut in February of last year.
