Passaic, NJ—Rising recording artist Kiamo recently sat down with Mayor Hector Lora to discuss his ongoing efforts to uplift the community through music and mentorship. A proud son of Passaic, Kiamo has been dedicated to giving back, using his platform to create opportunities for local talent and the youth.
At the heart of his movement is The Give Back, a brand focused on providing resources, guidance, and hope to the younger generation. Recognizing the challenges many face in the city, Kiamo has made it his mission to shift the culture—keeping the youth engaged through music and positive activities to combat violence and negative influences.
One of his most ambitious projects to date is the Passaic Album, a groundbreaking collaboration that brought together over 30 artists from Passaic, showcasing the city’s talent on a major scale. His efforts have not gone unnoticed, as he recently secured a Roc Nation Distribution deal, marking a pivotal moment in his career and for the city’s music scene.
In addition to his solo career, Kiamo is also the founder of Corner of The World, his own label that is home to rising artists such as FleeSince93, Quentin Filmz, HDSN CRW, Bluehouse Regulations, Dez, and Korner Stone Mafia. Through this platform, he is cultivating a movement that not only highlights Passaic’s raw talent but also provides real opportunities for artists to grow and succeed on a larger stage.
Looking ahead, Kiamo is working on an album with his area Midtown, as well as his highly anticipated debut album set to drop later in 2025. Through his music and initiatives, he continues to draw inspiration from legends like Nipsey Hussle, Kendrick Lamar, 50 Cent, and Jay-Z—artists who have used their platforms to create lasting change.
