Bringing Joy and Hope

In 1992, Hope Now Ministries USA, a 501(c)3 nonprofit, was established with the goal of helping Ukraine’s least, lost, and last. After the Soviet Union fell, their founder, Rev. Vic Jackopson, accepted an invitation to visit Ukraine, where he saw firsthand the extreme poverty and suffering of the locals. He was moved by the circumstance and felt compelled to spread Jesus’ love and joy to the Cherkassy region of Ukraine.

Over the years, the team at Hope Now has worked tirelessly to improve the lives of orphans, prisoners, and widows. They bring faith to those in need through service, teaching, and love. They offer summer camps to young people, providing them with a chance to experience the joy of Jesus. The team also cares for orphans through sponsorships, Bible clubs, and meeting their immediate needs. They build relationships with widowed mothers and other struggling family members, helping them to raise their children and overcome poverty and addiction.

Hope Now’s focus today is on the lives of orphans, their families, and the community in which they live. They believe in spreading the hope of Jesus Christ while caring for orphans, renewing families, and growing communities in Ukraine. Their mission is to care for orphans, renew families, and grow communities in Ukraine.

Their initiatives, which include summer camps, graduate programmes, and family care, further their objective. Each kid receives all-encompassing care through the orphan sponsorship programme, including feeding, health and hygiene, counseling, and exposure to the gospel. Teenage orphan graduates in Ukraine are given access to the Graduate Program, which offers further education, secure housing, and Christian communities. With the Elevate Scholarship, orphaned teenagers have the chance to complete high school at a Christian institution, opening up new opportunities for their future.

Summer camps are also a big part of Hope Now’s programs. They partner with Kompas Park to provide summer camps for orphans and local kids every summer. American and Ukrainian volunteers work together to offer Christ-centered, fun-filled weeks to campers ages 6-17. Family care is also important to Hope Now. They help children at the orphanage whose families are struggling by providing home repairs and medical needs while connecting these families to local churches.

Hope Now Ministries believes in the Bible as the inspired, infallible, and authoritative word of God. They believe in one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. They believe in the deity of Jesus Christ, his virgin birth, sinless life, miracles, atoning death, bodily resurrection, and personal return. They also believe that for the salvation of lost and sinful people, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is essential. They believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, which enables Christians to live a godly life.

In conclusion, Hope Now Ministries is a unique and wonderful organization that has been making a difference in the lives of many in Ukraine for over 28 years. Their mission to care for orphans, renew families, and grow communities is commendable and inspiring. They have been spreading the hope of Jesus Christ and bring joy and comfort to those in need. They are a true testament to the power of love and compassion in action.
