Bush rocker Gavin Rossdale and 30 Rock alum Jack McBrayer seem unusual mates, but they’re actually incredibly close.
“What’s so sweet about Jack — I’ll give you a fun insight to Jack,” Rossdale stated on Monday’s episode of Jesse Tyler Ferguson’s Dinner’s on Me podcast. “Since I’ve got divorced and was raising the kids on my own, he’s come to every Christmas and Thanksgiving that I have with my kids. He comes to them, and so we just had him for Christmas, we had him for Thanksgiving, and he, the past Thanksgiving, he sent in — I put it on my Instagram a little while ago — but he sent me an invoice.”
McBrayer’s bill, Rossdale said, was “for his presence.”

Rossdale and Gwen Stefani, his wife of nearly 13 years, split in 2015. They share three sons: Kingston, 18; Zuma, 16; and 11-year-old Apollo.
The “Glycerine” singer stated he felt horrible for his kids in a visit to the Amy & T.J. podcast in March 2024.
He stated, “I wish I could have just figured out a way to not have that in their lives, because that would be the most profound thing.” “It wasn’t fun for me to be from a broken home. Although it can be really crippling for children, I believe it gave me a job, thus I do not mind because I was able to transform it into a somewhat intriguing work path. The most important factor is that you do not want to disappoint your children.
McBrayer came up during Rossdale’s talk with Ferguson when the Modern Family alum complemented him on the first few guests he’d had on his cookery show, Dinner With Gavin Rossdale. The list includes McBrayer, whose other credits include Forgetting Sarah Marshall and Wreck-It Ralph.
Rossdale characterized him as “the best” and “a really good friend of mine” who’s “been helping me a lot recently do all my auditions” for shows and movies. “A horrible director, because I have not got one,” he said, referring to McBrayer.
